SPECIAL "SUMMER VACATION EDITION" ENGINEERING COLLOQUIUM

Friday, July 7, 2006 / 3:00 PM, Building 3 Auditorium

Connor Trinneer

"Reflections of the First Enterprise Chief Engineer"

ABSTRACT -- The Engineering Colloquium Committee is excited to host this special summer edition session with Star Trek™ Enterprise™ actor Connor Trinneer. Connor will give us his insights on portraying the character of Charles "Trip" Tucker III, the first Chief Engineer to "boldly go where no man has gone before." In Star Trek lore, the Enterprise NX-01 was the first warp 5 starship of exploration, and Trip, just like Scotty who followed 100 years later, was instrumental in fixing, building, repairing, jury-rigging, and miracle-working everything mechanical and technical. Connor’s talk will include anecdotes from 4 years on the set, plus audience Q&A.
