ABSTRACT -- The presentation will include:
- Outline of NASA's sustainability policy and goals
- Overview of Goddard's sustainability program status (how are we meeting or complying with NASA's policy and goals)
- (What makes them LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified)
- (How did they meet the federal Guiding Principles for Sustainable Federal Buildings)
- Summary of some of our ongoing sustainability initiatives
SPEAKER -- Kelly Busquets says of herself that "I grew up in southern California, graduated with a BS in Petroleum Engineering and an MS in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. I've worked in some great and unique places before coming to the Eastern Shore such as Hawaii, Johnston Island, Alaska, Japan, Korea, and Kwajalein Atoll. I was the Engineering Branch Chief for the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command on Kwajalein Atoll before coming to work for the Environmental Management Division at WFF in April 2015. Then in February 2017, I moved to my current position as the Goddard Sustainability Manager."
