"Lunar Lander Testbeds, HLS, and YouTube Cameos"

ABSTRACT -- Logan Kennedy will discuss various testbed and technology development efforts for landers over the past decade and how they have prepared NASA for the return to the Moon under Artemis. The Mighty Eagle testbed will be discussed in detail, including the process of scripting and filming a video for the popular Smarter Every Day YouTube channel.

SPEAKER -- Logan Kennedy grew up in North Carolina and got a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from NC State University in 2009. He started as a co-op at MSFC in 2006 as a Guidance, Navigation, and Controls engineer and stayed in that field for about a decade, working on launch vehicles, landers, and more. Since then, Logan gained experience in project and technical management and is currently the HLS Surface Lead.
