"The Goddard Facility Master Plan"

ABSTRACT -- As a NASA Field Center, the Goddard Space Flight Center prepares a Facility Master Plan to integrate its Facility Infrastructure into the overall strategy of the Agency. The current plan, updated in 2010 has its roots in the 2002 Facility Master Plan. This presentation examines the FY 2014 Agency Strategic Plan and how the GSFC Facility Master Plan supports the NASA Mission. It covers the fundamentals of the 2002 plan, the progress made toward the plan and the current activities to support the Center Facility Master Plan, which in part, enables the implementation of the NASA Mission at Goddard Space Flight Center.

SPEAKER -- Dr. David Richardson is Associate Branch Head, Navigation and Mission Design Branch. Dr. Richardson’s current responsibilities are management in the Navigation and Mission Design Branch. Until very recently, while working at in the GSFC Facilities Management Branch, his duties included responsibility for the management of the institutional facility investment portfolio, program and project development, energy management and Facility Master Planning. Dr. Richardson received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering in 2006 from the University of Maryland.
